Only met Mr Shahid once before surgery, as he was new to hospital and I'd been given an appointment with him as my consultant had a long waiting list. Very friendly and explained I could go with him or wait longer for Mr Aslam, I felt comfortable to have my surgery with him, and suggested would be done by October. Mr Shahid did suggest I search on NHS website for he's experience, saying he'd just come back from Toronto. Next day had my pre op at Redditch and got home to a phone call saying I had an appointment the following Wednesday for knee replacement at Kidderminster hospital Having already had my other knee done I knew what would happen, all going well I got out of bed the following day and home on day 3. All was great when had dressing removed, so pleased didn't have staples/clips just internal stitches and glue, happy lady !!! I have now reduced all pain killers, done Physio at Malvern hospital which I loved as Mandy is a friendly lovely lady. Today I had my check up with Mr Shahid and all is great, scar is healed and very neat as I'm only 52 years old, so important for the summer. 8 weeks later I'm now ready to return to work I can only praise every one who has looked after me from both Kidderminster/Worcester hospitals as my experience has been amazing. I really don't have any negative points, as I value all the care I received.
