Very calm, relaxed and reassuring from my first consultation. I was given a date for a triple heart bypass which clashed with a family wedding and there was no problem moving the operation to a later date. Mr Bittar came to the ward each day to have a quick word, the first day he informed me everything went well. the following days he checked on my progress (even calling in a 9pm one one occasion) My nurse in intensive care told me I was in safe hands and that should she require heart surgery, she would want Mr Bittar as her surgeon! Follow up appointment was very brief and I was told to go out and live my life in the safe knowledge that everything was well with my heart Hope I never need his skills again, but if I did I would be happy to have him looking after me.
