Hats off to Mr Sayegh and colleagues for repairing my inguinal hernia, eliminating the associated groin pain and leaving a rapidly disappearing scar. From initial consultation to post-op 4 week discharge everything went like clockwork. I immediately felt at ease at the initial consultation during which the nature of the problem and repair procedure including illustrations, the alternatives of immediate action or 'wait-and -see', and the recovery period and activity restrictions were covered in detail. There was ample time for questions and absolutely no pressure to give an immediate answer. Mr Sayegh's pre-op visit was reassuring as was his 1hour post op visit to enquire how I was. Three days later he telephoned to check on progress and again was very informative regarding wound hygiene/showering and how to gently get back to normality, a theme taken up in detail during the 4-week discharge conversation by phone in which he emphasized I could contact him directly with any queries that my arise. Throughout Mr Sayegh was informative, thoughtful and open to discussion and I have no hesitation in recommending his services highly to anyone suffering with hernias and will do so personally as the occasion arises.
