Mark Weville came highly recommended and he did not disappoint. I was an extremely nervous patient (it had taken me 10 years to pluck up the courage for corrective eye surgery). The initial consultation was carried out in professional yet extremely relaxed environment. I explained that I wanted to know the absolute minimum about the procedure as I was very squeamish and this was adhered to at every stage. I was suitable for both LASIK and Lasek surgery but I opted for the LASIK. My procedure was carried out after a couple of weeks cooling off time. I had opted to have both eyes done at the same time. Mark recommended I have my vision was adapted for mono vision as I was on the cusp of needing reading glasses as well as being shortsighted. I was very nervous on the day but Mark and his team were extremely reassuring. The procedure was extremely fast and as described to me there was absolutely no discomfort whatsoever, just a sensation of pressure, lots of drops and lots of flashing light. I was all done and dusted in less than 10 minutes. My vision was slightly blurred for a few hours afterwards but after a good night's sleep I had perfect vision. Mark's bedside manner is excellent. He is kind, caring and considerate. He completely understood my fears and allayed them at every stage The aftercare has been fantastic. Mark called me at home the evening after surgery to check I was OK which was greatly appreciated. I went back the next day, a week later and a month later for a check up. I was driving 2 days after surgery. I have adapted to the mono vision so well that I actually don't know which eye is which. Thank you to Mark and everyone at Optegra for giving me perfect vision, my only regret is that I wish I had done this ten years ago!
