I have come out of surgery with incredible sight. I've forgotten I wore glasses. Mark and his team were great throughout the process. I had laser eye surgery which I was extremely nervous about prior to surgery. Mark was incredibly reassuring and spoke with me on the phone about my additional concerns before and he also rang me after the surgery. This was in addition to the original consultation I had had with him where I'd been able to discuss concerns at length. I had been to two other centres for consultations before seeing Mark Wevill and deciding to go with him for my surgery. Neither of the others allowed me to chat or talk with my ophthalmologist and both offered various guarantees for results. One I was particularly disappointed with as they repeatedly told me there was a lifetime guarantee for a particular prescription. During the consultation I had repeatedly mentioned my asthma. It was only later reading the small print I noticed asthma ( and numerous other health problems) listed as excluding me from this. There was none of this at Optegra. They just talked plain facts with aflat rate fee for specific surgeries. It's easy to get sucked in by the marketing and guarantees but this isn't a new car you are buying it' surgery on your own body and bodies and unique and complicated- surgery does have risks and complications. A good doctor would never try to say otherwise.... But a salesman will. I lost a lot of trust in the other companies I had consultations with constantly bombarding me with phone calls, emails trying to get me to book. There was no pressure from Mark and his team. I very nearly cancelled on the day of the treatment because of my nerves and the team were incredibly accommodating and understanding. They treat you like a patient and not just a sale. I really didn't have anything to worry about- I'm so pleased with the results! I feel that I can always go back to Mark at any time in the future if I did ever have problems with my eyes and recommend him very highly! When I looked at these reviews I was a bit cynical because Mark had such high rating. I thought maybe they weren't real reviews but having been through the process I know why he is rated as such!
