I was admitted to Southmead Hospital after visiting Specsavers for an eye test, having experienced vertigo and some vision disturbances, I thought it was eye strain from a desk based job. They found severe Papilledema and I was told to go straight to A&E. Fast forward many hours spent in A&E I was admitted as an emergency patient from Bristol eye hospital the next day to Southmead hospital having been diagnosed with a Colloid Cyst with Hydrocephalus. Mr Mario Teo and his team were amazing. He spent a long time answering any questions myself and my family had and made us feel like nothing was to smaller question to ask. After talking through the surgery options I felt that even though the thought of having brain surgery was frightening, I had every confidence in Mr Teo and his team. There was no else I would rather have perform the operation.I felt incredibly well looked after during my 3 week stay at Southmead with Mr Teo visiting me every day after the operation. Having had a few follow up queries, Mr Teo's Secretaries have always been able to provide answers to alleviate any concerns I had post op. I would highly recommend Mr Teo and his team and all of the staff on ward 6B at Southmead hospital.
