I have had an acoustic neuroma first diagnosed in 2003. I’ve had surgery and Gamma Knife since then but was referred to Mr Mario Teo in December 2019 as the tumour had grown again. I met Mr Teo along with The ENT surgeon at my initial consultation and immediately liked him. I found him very honest and forthcoming with information regarding my forthcoming surgery and the likely outcomes. I trusted his advice completely. I finally went into Southmead In October 2020 for my surgery. Although my initial surgery went extremely well I did suffer complications a few weeks later and ended up back in Southmead for a 5 weeks stay under Mr Teo and his fantastic team. I am now doing very well and that is all thanks to Mr Teo, his team, and all the staff at Southmead hospital. I am extremely grateful for their care and also the expertise, knowledge and kindness of Mr Teo himself. He really is the most brilliant neurosurgeon.
