I had a knee replacement surgery but sadly the ligament was detached during the operation. I was in great pain for most of three months even with painkillers.
I had to wear a braces for six weeks during the day and a further two weeks during the night. Then I had to practically learn to walk again.
I was given exercises to do with lots of stretching and sadly I tore the muscle in the calf setting me back even further.

I am really sorry you have had complications following your surgery. Hopefully once your torn muscle heals you will get the outcome from the knee replacement you were looking for. Unfortunately every operation has risks attached to it and this does affect your outcome. This is why as surgeons we spend time going through them before we perform the surgery. All the best for a speedier recovery.
