I saw Dr Akhtar after being diagnosed with bowel cancer, I have never been to hospital before (apart From A&E) and was somewhat nervous at the prospect of surgery.
Dr Akhtar explained everything very well to me and put me at ease over the prospect of my forthcoming operation. I am very pleased that the operation went well and I am now back at home recovering. I cannot praise the doctor enough for everything he has done for me.
I would also like to thank all the staff at the QEQM hospital in Margate who looked after me, I honestly believe that I could not have had better care anywhere
