I went to see Dr Akhtar with an issue that he specialised in, after a consultation and examination he also identified other issues and sent me for further tests. From that moment on Dr Akhtar's made sure that any issue that was identified was followed up and dealt with, he referred me to the right specialist in the particular area of concern. He monitored every step until everything was concluded and he was happy that I had received all necessary treatment. I cannot thank him enough for his care and attention to detail in ensuring that nothing was left unchecked, he explained every step to make sure I was fully aware and understood what was happening.

I have had a gallbladder removal at the Spencer Hospital Margate and Mr Mansoor Akhtar was my consultant. Everything was explained to me during my consultation and I was given time to make my final decision regarding the operation. Mr Akhtar is a very caring gentleman who considers his patient very much. I am an 80year old lady who would definitely recommend him to any friend or member of my family who needed this operation.

Mr Akhtar treated me with the utmost respect and consideration, as he did with my wife previously. I would not hesitate to recommend him and his work to all my family and friends, and indeed anybody who should ask for my opinion. Should I need any treatment in the future I will ask to be treated by Mr Mansoor Akhtar personally. Thank you .....Richard Hall. a very satisfied patient.

I was admitted for emergency surgery with a perforated bowel in three places and peritonitis. I was blessed to be placed in the hands of Mr Akhtar to have a colostomy which left me with a permanent stoma. On waking in ICU Mr Akhtar came to my bedside with his assisting surgeon and explained everything that had happened . I was hospital for 18 days and during that time Mr Akhtar and his team regularly came to see me . On my return to home I reflected I was so lucky this wonderful man and his team saved my life , to which I am eternally grateful. I've just had my six month appointment with Mr Akhtar and he was very thorough in checking me over, talked things over and asked if I bad questions. At no point did I feel rushed and once again I felt very cared for . On departing Mr Akhtar told me should I have any problems to contact the Stoma team and if need be he would see me . I cannot recommend this wonderful man highly enough.

Mr Mansoor was amazing, taking into account I am 86 years old he was very kind and understanding and took the time, with an injection of humour, to explain fully what was going to happen with my operation which left me confident and relaxed. He is a real people person who must be an inspiration to his team. I can’t thank him enough.
