I am an experienced health care professional with 38 years experience in various fields, I am currently responsible for the support provided for a number of adults with very complex needs. One of the people we support required surgery for a particularly serious issue which had resulted in the complete loss of mobility, the use of both arms, a total loss of all independence. It was very heartening to have Mr Mano Shanmuganathan support the persons right to have the surgery, he treated them with respect, looked and spoke to the person directly even though they have sensory loss, he explained everything in plain simple English so we as a team could try to support the person to have some understanding of the issue and what was going to happen. Despite unforeseen issues during surgery the person made an amazing recovery and within a very short period of time was back to full fitness. After surgery Mr Shanmuganathan followed up with regular check ups and reassured us he was always available should we have any concerns or worries. I cannot recommend Mr Shanmuganathan highly enough for his person centred treatment of the person supported by us. Thank you from all of us Mano.
