I was seen by Mr Rahman in the eye clinic at New Victoria and required operations for 2 cataracts. My situation was different from most, and difficult as he said it would be, he took it on. He did an amazing job and I have been left with clear vision that I have never experienced before. It has been totally life changing for me. He was polite and compassionate. I thoroughly recommend this gentleman to any who are fortunate to be seen by him.

Pleasant, matter-of -fact manner. Very clear in giving options for me to decide which way to proceed with my eye problem. Arranged for fast-track surgery to compensate for delay in being seen at a clinic due to Covid. Carried out surgery in an extremely competent manner, assisted by a very capable background team. Saw me at follow-up appointment when he confirmed a successful outcome, which I was aware of due to the vast improvement in my eyesight. In essence, a skilled, personable practitioner in whom I have great confidence.

I have had cataract surgery this year in my right eye as recommended by Mr Mamun Rahman ,who consults from New Victoria Hospital in Glasgow. This young consultant tried to refer me for this surgery a while back but was knocked back by his boss.Undeterred he persevered with the result of surgery this year. I am 74years of age, still working as a Chartered Accountant. This surgery has meant I can drive and watch tv without glasses. All the treatment I received from Mr. Rahman was most professional. He listened to my questions and answered in detail. At a time when hospital appointments might have been difficult to arrange, I was seen and treated far more quickly than I had expected. He carried out my cataract operations (with stents) efficiently, explaining the procedure as he went. I am extremely pleased with the outcome, and am grateful for his expertise. He carried out post operation checks after each operation, and further checks are being arranged.
