Professor Funk diagnosed the problem with my shoulder immediately, I saw him, he examined me and referred me for an MRI scan which I was able to have immediately at The Wilmslow Hospital. I then saw Professor Funk straight after for a diagnosis. This meant I was only charged for one appointment rather than for two separate visits for a consultation and follow up. I was impressed by this. He gave me options - a conservative approach with physio or surgery. He didn’t push me to go for the more expensive option of surgery. Again I was impressed by this. He allowed me time to think about it. A week or so later, I decided on surgery and he was really responsive in working around my availability. The surgery and recovery were painless. The scar is really neat. The aftercare was second to none and my return to training was beyond my expectations. I am so pleased I went with Prof Funk. He is superb. I’m so impressed. I would recommend him to anybody with a shoulder problem.
