After suffering osteo-arthritis in both knees through wear and tear, ( I am 78years old and played most sports until my late 50`s ) I decided to take the plunge and seek help to see if knee replacement would cure the problem) Fortunately for me I was referred to Mr Lee Longstaff at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Gateshead. From the first consultation Mr Longstaff he explained the procedures and gave me great confidence to have my first total knee replacement in Jan 2015. The operation was a total success and I had the other knee replacement op in Nov 2015. This op too was totally successful and cannot thank Mr Longstaff and his team and the QE Hospital for the care and attention I received. I am now reaping the rewards of being able to walk pain free and would have no hesitation in recommending Mr Longstaff to carry out any procedures. With grateful thanks, Peter Swaddle
