After several years of pain and swelling in my knee, which had prevented me from being active and sleeping well, Mr Longstaff assured me that a knee replacement procedure will provide an improved lifestyle. During consultation Mr Longstaff set out all of the considerations. I agreed to this procedure taking place, as an NHS patient, in August 2015. The procedure went well. I was out of bed the next day and walking, with support, the following day. My rehabilitation proceeded as described by Mr Longstaff. During this time he was extremely attentive throughout. Mr Longstaff has a very pleasant bedside manner. My lifestyle has improved to levels prior to my knee becoming problematic. Last week (May 2016) I completed a walking holiday in western Scotland. Walking distances of 12-14 miles each day - no pain, no swelling and no medication. My exercise regime now allows me to prevent weight gain and other positive health promotion benefits. I am 67 years of age.
