I was referred to Mr Longstaff (I still find it odd referring to a Doctor as Mr.) at the Spire hospital after a few years of issues with my knee having decided to seek private care via BUPA. The knee had been causing me issues playing a lot of sports with frequent flare ups keeping me out of anything significant for months at a time. An MRI was taken and he quickly diagnosed it as a tear to my meniscus which was what I suspected. A few weeks later I was scheduled in for an Arthroscopy to have it repaired. The surgery went really well, very quick recovery period, barely any pain thereafter and now looking forward to playing football and skiing again. Really wish I had it looked at earlier, regular GP visits hadn't really yielded any success in diagnosing the issue. Mr Longstaff made me feel comfortable throughout the whole consultation and procedure, clearly explaining what would be done. Thoroughly recommend him (and the Spire hospital in general) to anyone looking to have this type of surgery done.
