My hip replacement operation went better than even my most optimistic expectations. From the minute that I came around after my operation the wound caused me no pain except when moving the joint and this has rapidly improved with exercise. The wound itself completely healed within a couple of weeks (at least on the outside) and the scar is amazingly neat. After 6 weeks I can walk comfortably without pain or the aid of sticks and I am able to perform exercises in the gymn on a daily basis. For the first time in 2 years I do not need to take painkillers and am looking forward to resuming golf in a few weeks.
i could not fault the nursing or medical staff at Washington Spire Hospital and cannot thank Mr Longstaff enough for the superb job he did on my hip replacement.
