If you are looking at these reviews you are probably where I was prior to surgery. You will be wondering how good is your surgeon and has anyone gone through the pain you are currently experiencing. My review for Mr Khaled Aneiba is purely based on my own experience and my wish to share and reassure anyone facing spinal surgery that this gentleman is one of the finest surgeons I have been referred to. I had chronic pain in my L4/5 region of my spine, I was and am currently working full time, I am a mother and was at the lowest point in my life enough to say that I felt that if this was going to be my life then I had had enough. Mr Aneiba not only listened, he actually understood how I felt. He followed the hospital protocol and completed all the investigative tests and agreed that surgery could improve my quality of life. He explained fully the procedure, and to be honest the worst outcome being death was not even scary given the existing pain I had. The day of surgery came, the elation I have far outweighed any concerns, I knew the procedure would take a few hours, and in the end it was longer given the state of my spine once Mr Aneiba opened me up. My recovery was longer than planned, but that was not a concern I was scared but the biggest shock of all as "where had my pain gone?" When I say that I mean the excruciating pain that I had prior to the operation. I know I had been given drugs etc. but I knew in my heart that I was now on the road to a better life. The aftercare plan was explained and for the first time in my life I knew that if I want to get back to anywhere near where I hoped then I would have to listen and most importantly do as both Mr Aneiba and his spinal unit team advised. He has done the hard restoration work now it was time for me to keep up with the maintenance. I had a ten week recovery and am fully back to work, every week is an improvement on the week before and if you take anything from this statement, please listen and do want they tell you, don't expect to not have to do anything. Ask questions and make sure you keep a positive mental attitude. Good luck on your journey, stay positive and remember Mr Aneiba aims to help you improve your quality of life and with any surgery there are risks but be reassured Mr Aneiba will give 100% to help minimize those risks.
