I was initially referred onto Mr Acton from another orthopaedic surgeon at Royal Surrey Hospital. I had a rare condition called snapping hamstrings. It was identified by the orthopaedic surgeon at Royal Surrey however, it was such as a unusual condition that he couldn't actually treat it before nor many others in that field can do so as its something that most of them would not see in their lifetime. However, after being referred onto Mr Acton, I chose to go private considering the waiting times and the duration of my situation. Mr Acton and his team at Mount Alvernia Hospital in Guildford was fantastic. Whenever i needed to ask any questions, i would always have a response incredibly quickly and it was very straightforward and very helpful. As for the surgery, their wasn't a definitive treatment plan for it. However he decided to take one of my tendons out and it appears to be a success as none of the symptoms have returned. It happened very quickly as i went to first meet him in the summer time and now have been just discharged from him right before christmas. If anyone has any complex situation regarding knees then this is the person you have to see after my personal expierience of seeing numerous people over the years, he is by far the best i have come across and i can't recommend him enough.
