Dr Akhtar has helped me through a difficult period after previous knee surgery (ACL replacement) with another consultant had left me in severe pain. He was able to diagnose several issues that had gone unnoticed by others and was very considerate and understood my situation perfectly. He performed another complex surgery with further ligament replacement (MCL) and went to great lengths to give me the best chance of recovery as possible. He has been very diligent in checking on my progress and has always re-assured me with his experience and medical knowledge. I feel very grateful to Dr Akhtar for all his efforts and appreciate all his care and attention.
