After some years of regular sciatica type pain in my left leg and hip, I was referred to ManchesterNeuro by my osteopath in spring 2022 as the frequency of episodes was increasing and I was in agony when I walked only a short distance. Mr. Gnanalingham diagnosed the problems with my spine and recommended epidural steroid injections as a first line treatment to determine if that would give sufficient relief and to confirm the site of the problem. The injections did offer some relief but it was short lived. Mr Gnanalingham operated on my spine in August 2022, removing bone and disc tissue and fitting a spinal clamp to the L4/5 position in order to relieve pressure on my spinal cord. After some 3 months recovery, I found I could progressively resume my active lifestyle. I now run, golf and garden as before on a daily basis and I have spent quite a few days skiing this winter; I have my life back! Throughout the period of treatment and aftercare I found Mr. Gnanalingham very professional, easy to deal with and caring. The administrative service is prompt, efficient and well informed.
