I write this as a thank you to all the staff at Homerton hospital that I had the pleasure of meeting. In September 2021 I was very fortunate to have bariatric surgery by Mr John Loy. Throughout all my meetings with him he was just so genuine, honest, pleasant, friendly and put me at complete ease. I could not have hoped for a better surgeon. That said his team were also outstanding and I mean everyone from the registrar to the cleaner who was allocated my ward. The change that this surgery has made to my life cannot easily be put into words. Prior to the pre surgery diet etc I weighed 178kgs. I now weigh half that. I am more mobile, flexible, fitter etc obviously, but it is the benefits to my mental attitude that have changed my life and lifestyle for the better. As a result of the weight loss, I have also now undergone abdominoplasty. Although carried out privately the treatment I received at the Homerton was of equal and comparable level of attention to detail that I received privately. People are always quick to complain so I thought I would take the time to write this very short thank you note. I wish that you convey my heartfelt gratitude to Mr Loy and his team. Regards
