My Dad was rushed in as an emergency case on a Friday nite suffering from severe stomach pains. Mr Loy did not mess around! After a prompt diagnosis, Dad was given medication for the pain and was operated on early the following morning. A lump of cancer was removed from his bowel and a colostomy bag was fitted. Throughout the whole procedure Mr Loy kept us imformed of everything that was happening and all the staff at the hospital (thanks also to Julie the Stoma nurse) were all extremely helpful and caring. Mr Loy was a breath of fresh air in what was a very distressing time for myself and my family. His bedside manner was amazing, not just with Dad, but with family members as well. Dad is on the mend now, but it's is good to know that there are people like Mr Loy at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, not only doing his job in a such a professional manor, but he is also putting the "care" back in to health care. What a gentleman!
