I was admitted to the Walton Center on 29/2/24 for Ultrasound Thalamotomy by Dr. Jabril Osman-Farah my Consultant Neurosurgeon.
I was apprehensive on the day, the nurses and staff were very helpful and made me feel at ease in the day care ward.
My procedure had to be delayed by an emergency and I wasn’t advised of this at the time, maybe someone could have told me of this rather than me worrying. I eventually went to the theatre around 2.30pm approx.
My concern was being place into the MRI scanner for a lengthy time, but all went ok.
The procedure went well with amazing instant results.
I wish to thank Dr Farah and his team for giving me a better quality of life and I await for my right hand to be treated. Many thanks. Irene Howarth
