After a year of being passed around from GP to Physio then on to MSK with x-rays and MRI’s in between, I was finally referred to Mr Chandrasenan. By the time I first met Mr Chandrasenan, my physical and mental health was poor. My left knee had caused me so much pain, that I was becoming desperate for someone to diagnose the problem and help me. I couldn’t walk far, knee range was poor, knee would lock, knee would give way and I was afraid of going anywhere alone for fear of falling or getting stuck. This had implications on family life and work capabilities…I was becoming old, unstable and extremely cranky. Without Mr Chandrasenan and his surgical abilities, I would be a shadow of my former self way before my time. I am absolutely delighted to report that since surgery, my physical and mental health have drastically improved. I am no longer in constant pain and I am no longer dependent on others to aid my mobility. I look forward to gaining strength in my knee and living a fulfilled life. Yes, I have post op aches, which will cease and I still have arthritis but given the fact that I am 47, I am completely content on moving forward now the constant pain and worry has gone.
