Six weeks ago, after a painful episode caused by a gallstone, I had my gall bladder removed by Mr Deguara. From the first consultation with him I felt his were a safe pair of hands: he was straight-forward , describing in clear detail the problems the gallstone could cause if no action was taken and the chances then of the problem recurring, and the dangers inherent in the surgery. The choice was mine and I opted for surgery. Mr Deguara was also very kind, answering all my questions in plain language, and giving me clear instructions on what I should and should not do in the weeks after the operation.
The operation itself was uncomplicated, and the four small incisions have healed well. I am very satisfied with Mr Deguara's care, and glad that I chose him as my surgeon.
