Mr Jean Deguara, couldn't have been more thorough and more caring.I really appreciated his after-care....and although he had a very busy schedule, he even came up to the ward to check on my progress in between operating on patients. After our post surgery telephone consultations , he very kindly has started my referral process to St Georges for an ENT assessment regarding my nosebleed problem. he has also rectified an error the ward staff made by discontinuing the drug Tamsulosin from my list of medication. On Monday, I had the privilege of being under the care of Consultant Dr Jean Degura and his team at the Day Surgery Centre. I must say that it was the most outstanding medical attention I have ever received at Kingston Hospital Foundation NHS Trust. I was impressed by the exceptional services provided by the day surgery nurses, the anaesthetist and his team, and Dr Jean Degura and his surgical team. The standard of care from the start to the end of the procedure was nothing short of first-class and highly professional. Initially, I was quite nervous about the procedure, but the team's reassuring and calming approach made the experience less stressful. I am grateful to Dr Degura and the entire day surgery team for their dedication, hard work and professionalism in helping me and other patients. Mr Degura recently performed day surgery on me at Kingston Hospital which was a complete success. When he came to check on me just before surgery he provided a full & easy to understand explanation of all that was involved. During my follow up appointment he took the time to fully discuss my questions in his usual patient & reassuring manner. On the basis of his patience, respect towards patients, medical skills & knowledge and his communication I would not hesitate in recommending him as a surgeon.

Dr Jean Deguara, was absolutely amazing. This was my first operation and I was scared. Dr. Jean took his time to answer all my questions in detail and did not rush the consultation which made me feel understood and very comfortable. I then requested him to do my operation as I felt he was very calm in explaining the procedure. I can say I was really lucky to have Dr jean. I was very pleased to see him on the day of the procedure. My Gallbladder was inflamed which made the whole operation more difficult but Dr Jean did his best and still managed to do keyhole procedure even though it was really not a easy one. After my operation I had to stay in the hospital for couple of days but I recovered really well. My scars have healed so well, still a bit purple but slowly fading away.
