I had been diagnosed with bowel cancer. In December 2021 Professor Murphy removed a tumour and resectioned my upper colon and duodenum collaborating in theatre with Mr Charles Imber at The London Clinic. His care and good humour were a great support as I had to remain in hospital for almost a month whilst my revised digestive system adjusted to the new pathway devised by them. His skill and and the trouble taken to explain matters to me and my wife were a great encouragement to recovering my weight and strength. I will see my clinical oncologist to be (hopefully) signed off within the month and will be for ever thankful for the treatment I received.
