I had an appointment today with Mr James Hewes (consultant surgeon) - in respect of possible weight loss surgery. I am at the start of the surgery process which may last around 6 months.
Mr Hewes was polite, courteous and business -like and listened to the questions I raised regarding the possible procedure and the process that may eventually take me to the operation. I appreciated the explanation of why certain types of weight loss surgery may not be suitable for me. The risks of surgery were also clearly explained.
The next 6 months or so will be interesting both in terms of my hoped for weight loss (on own efforts) and how Mr Hewes and his team perform. They've made a good start.
