late sept. my loving & much loved partner, P., sustained life threatening injuries after an accident at work-- multiple rib and spinal fractures, . after stabilisation "the team" decided he should have the spine damage stabilised - which would reduce the risk of paralysis to "close to zero". mr Bourne explained fully the risks & benefits of the operation. after carrying this out he explained what he,d done (& not been able to do). all the families queries were answered. after 9 days on a ventilator P. was woken up & then proceeded with re-learning walking, breathing, etc. the skill , care & dedication of all staff was outstanding, and we have nothing but praise for them all. P. is now at home making slow but satisfactory progress. we attended out patient follow-up and Mr Bourne was very pleased with him, & delighted to see him breathing &walking.!!

Response from Mr James Bourne

I am really pleased he has done so well. You said at the time that he was tough! Recovery will take time, as his injuries were significant, but it was great to see him walk in, and be able to have a chat, as he was intubated every time I met him before. Thanks for taking the time to post. Best wishes. J
