I had the misfortune of falling off my bicycle and ended with my shoulder and face on the hard pavement, so fast that I can't even remember the fall itself. I was referred to Mr Polyzois by one of the other consultants on the NHS as the break of the humerus bone was very complicated. I can truly say that he was wonderfully professional, a really kind, warm human being and superb at his job. We discussed options and he recommended surgery which I had the following week. I am a musician and it was scary to think how things could turn out. He did a splendid job and even the scar is so tidy and understated! The outcome of the surgery was very good. After doing lots of physiotherapy and being closely monitored by this remarkable surgeon, I am now nearly completely where I was before the accident movement wise, and completely pain free. Many thanks to Mr Polyzois and his great team - I will be forever grateful that I landed in your hands during such a difficult and vulnerable time.
