I am a competitive Ironman athlete and suffered a grade IV ACJ shoulder separation after a bike crash. I saw Mr Polyzois about 6 months after the accident after the initial conservative treatment that had been recommended by another consultant had failed to restore stability and strength in the shoulder. Mr Polyzois recommended surgery with LARS ligament. I am now six weeks post surgery, back to jogging and cycling on the indoor trainer and undergoing physio to work on range of movement in my shoulder and, so far, my recovery is ahead if schedule. It can be difficult to know which consultant to chose but I can highly recommend Mr Polyzois and I am very pleased with the attention and care that he has given.
