Indy carried removed cataracts in both my eyes and replaced them with new lenses - one in December 2020 and the other in February 2021. What can I say?! He was incredibly thorough in examining me, explaining what his recommendations were and describing the procedure that would take place. His manner and style were professional but friendly, calm and reassuring. The procedure itself was incredibly smooth. The staff were terrific and Indy himself was again reassuring and calming. For this op, you are awake throughout but the eye being operated on is thoroughly anesthetised and, odd though it may sound, there is no discomfort. It was complete in 20 minutes. The results are remarkable. I had worn varifocals for years and needed glasses for everything, irrespective of the cataracts. My right eye cataract was quite bad, but next day the clarity of vision was amazing and I could see colours that I hadn't seen so vividly for a long time. My left eye has always been weak, so when it came to having that one done Indy adjusted the lens prescription slightly to improve my chances of being able to carry out some reading without glasses (as he put it: "So you can read a menu in a restaurant!"). The results were again remarkable. I can, indeed, read a restaurant menu without glasses! I don't need glasses now except for when I'm reading anything lengthy and when I'm working on my laptop screen - right now, I'm working on a medium-sized monitor and don't need glasses. A tremendous success and a tremendous surgeon - thank you Indy!
