After contracting Meningitis and Sepsis in July 2017, Mr Dafydd undertook my four amputations. Prior to the operations he informed me that he would retain as much of my limbs as was possible. The process was very traumatic but he was always measured and very professional. After the operations he would visit me in the ward even if he had been working for many hours and enquire about my progress and well-being. It was very much appreciated.
After undergoing subsequent rigorous rehabilitation I was able to stand on prosthetic limbs some 7 months after my operations. Mr Dafydd's surgery allowed me the chance to walk again after it was so cruelly taken from me. I am currently building the strength in my left arm to receive a prosthetic functioning left hand. Mr Dafydd was able to retain enough of my left arm to make this possible. He has offered further surgery for my part right hand which I will look to undertake in the future.
