Firstly, this doctor seems to lack much empathy. He was aware I was worried about a recurrence of cancer and, must surely have been aware of the fear that involved, as well as the (natural) fear of examinations. He has not told the full truth in a letter to my GP saying I declined an internal exam. Please note, I only declined because he said the external was fine and because I felt scared. Secondly, he lied in the letter saying: “I have explained that if the mini pill or injections are not controlling her bleeding then she will have to have an internal exam...”. What was *actually* said was: I suggested taking the mini pill and, if no improvement, perhaps things should be re-looked at”. I declined an internal on two counts - (1) he said the external was fine, (2) I felt scared around this doctor’s abrupt manner. P.S. ** Please could you publish this, this time, instead of brushing it under the carpet. We are all equal.
