Mr Atkinson replaced my 78 year old hip in October 2023. He had gone out of his way to operate as quickly as possible having seen the results of the MRI. The actual operation went smoothly and quickly. An extremely detailed report was sent to my GP and copied to me. After discharge, I took only paracetamol and that for only two weeks. I know no-one who has had as little pain after a hip replacement. I was able to walk confidently without sticks after 4 weeks. At the 6-8 week check, I was shown the X-ray of my hip and the 'made to measure' and perfectly fitted implant which may explain some of the above.
At all stages of treatment both pre and post operation Mr Atkinson explained what would and what had happened. He answered every question patiently and in depth. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
