I broke my left ankle in August 2020. Due to another hospital A&E missing my break and Covid, I walked about on my ankle for 20 months, enduring pain and selling on a daily basis. In March 2022 I had an osteotomy (complicated surgery) to reconstruct my ankle requiring parts of bones being removed and used to rebuild others and metal plates and screws on both sides of my ankle, to keep it in place. The surgeon was Mr Mann. I highly recommend this surgeon as I am very happy with the outcome. It has been three months since my surgery, and it has made a huge difference to my quality of life as I am able to now walk normally, and generally enjoy activities again.
