I would recommend Mr. Mann to anyone with a foot injury after my experience during the summer of 2022 and the professional and expert support I received from him at every step of my recovery. Mr Mann was my ortho specialist for a tendon repair in my foot, which was 100% severed. He’s very competent and quickly, yet thoroughly diagnosed the severity of my injury in my first appointment, explaining the pros/cons of having surgery and what the next steps would be. Due to the urgency of repairing the tendon (which the GP and A&E had errantly not identified) he was very efficient in scheduling my surgery within the week while also managing some additional pre-op specialist consultations due to complications I have with a clotting risk. While he ordered the necessary scans pre op, I appreciated that he used his own, regular examinations of my foot post op to assess how my tendon was regaining strength so that he could recommend the right amount of progress week on week without risking my recovery (e.g. 100% elevated to walking yet not weight bearing, to minimal, to partial, etc). I’m very happy to say that my tendon is fully repaired, courtesy of Mr. Mann’s surgical expertise – coming from a Surgeon’s family I can say that his suturing of my wound was top and the scar after 6 months is really minimal. Mr Mann is very well regarded, yet it was quick and easy to get appointments with him; his support team is wonderful and very efficient in coordinating all details from the surgery to post op follow up visits. Despite a full patient load, I always felt he took the time to answer all my questions, and I never felt rushed in my appointments. Lastly, his bedside manners are excellent – he really listens to his patient, explains things well and is empathetic. This makes him an all-around great doctor. Thank you so much Mr Mann, Tamsin
