Dr Major is the second psychiatrist I have seen in the past few years. When I contacted him I was struggling with a relapse in my mental health, I was having anxiety attacks and I was distressed as I felt like I was going back to square one. I was at a loose end and my suicidal idealisation was worsening. Although we had to meet twice to complete my initial assessment, as I was unable to continue, I felt that he was very understanding and supportive- even offered alternative ways of completing the assessment to try meet my needs. Following the assessment he sent me a very detailed summary of the information I told him and his interpretation, there was also (and following my previous experience this was very important to me) a diagnosis and a plan. He also made sure all along that I was happy with what was being said and done. I really can't fault Dr.Major, because he listened to what I had to say I feel like he's put me on the right path to hopefully getting better. Even between appointments he is always only an email away. Although I am struggling at the moment, I feel like i'm getting the support and direction that I need.
