Dr Major is incredibly understanding and empathetic. I chose to have a private consultation with him after reading his previous reviews and I’m glad I did. I wanted clarity on what treatment to receive going forward in my mental health journey and Dr Major provided this. He really took his time in asking questions and answering any questions I had. Cannot genuinely thank him enough.

I had a year of weekly therapy, ending about 10 months ago, but I feel compelled to thank Grenville now via this review for the wonderful work he did. I felt a huge difference in my mental health at the end of therapy and yet I continue to see the positive momentum grow. The impact of therapy compounds for me as I implement new found ways of metabolising my feelings and I relate to others in a more positive way. My inner world two years ago versus now is dramatically changed for the better. Grenville initially diagnosed my borderline personality disorder in a psychiatry session, before we started psychotherapy. He never treated me like a condition, but as a person. Whilst I felt like a personality disorder diagnosis would be with me for life, I have felt such a dramatic reduction in ‘symptoms’ that I feel the diagnosis is but a footnote in my medical history. Grenville was professional, patient, kind, good humoured, intelligent and well-versed in all relevant matters. I thoroughly recommend his services.

Like many others, I was worried before my appointment with Grenville. The outcome of this appointment would be significant for me, so I was apprehensive about ensuring I got my point and concerns across. However, my worry was unfounded - from the moment that the appointment started, Grenville made me feel entirely at ease. He was patient with me when I struggled to articulate myself and was an attentive listener as evidenced by the follow-up questions he asked. Grenville ensured that we covered all relevant areas but I never felt like I was being interrogated. Instead, I felt a deep sense of relief that someone was finally listening to me without judgement. Overall, I found Grenville to be a compassionate and competent doctor, and I would recommend him without hesitation.

Prior to my appointment with Dr Major I was quite nervous not knowing exactly what to expect however, these nerves quickly subsided as the appointment progressed, Dr Major was so easy to speak to, I felt I was able to speak freely and he was completely nonjudgmental even when I began to ramble on he never interrupted nor made me feel rushed. Additionally, Dr Major is a great listener which was further evident in the report that he compiled, which was very easy to read and understand yet remained highly detailed. Truly, a great compassionate psychiatrist couldn’t recommend him enough.

I was initially super worried about having my appointment, but as soon as I started speaking to Dr Major i felt completely at ease. Throughout the entire appointment he was really kind and didn't force me to go into topics i wasn't comfortable in talking about. I felt like he listened to everything I said and always took me seriously no matter how strange something i was describing to him was. He seems to be really compassionate and really cares for the people he sees. After my consultation, he sent over my report in which he put down what he had diagnosed me with, ways in which these things were treated and what he thought i should specifically do, as well as recommending things i should do in the short term. Throughout my time with psychiatry uk, he had always communicated with me, and is happy to answer any questions i had. I couldn’t of asked for anything more in a psychiatrist, i would 1000% recommend him if you are thinking of getting care from psychiatry UK.
