Mr Lascaratos has always treated me with courtesy and explained the treatment fully. His attention to detail is reassuring and post operative care excellent.
I would fully recommend Mr Lascaratos for any eye surgery and aftercare.
A caring attitude which helps build confidence in the treatment being considered.

He looked after me very well. My eyesight has recovered so much that I can drive without any problem. His care pre operation as well as post operation was excellent.

The transformation from blur to clear sight in my eye worked under the hand of Mr Lascaratos is little short of miracle. His calm approach soothed any apprehensions I might have had about the cataract operation. His care and concern in the follow up was consistent with his approach throughout. I now look forward with confidence to his operating on my other eye.

My 87yr old mother had both her cataracts removed by Mr Lascaratos. She is completely satisfied & her eyesight is now amazing for her age. As a family we were also very happy with the care given to my mother by this surgeon too

When I needed to consult with Mr Lascaratos I was literally in darkness and full of trepidation, but his very passionate and professional PA and his team soon had me relaxed and they could not have done more for me.
Mr Lascaratos was reassuring, supportive and fully informative regarding the treatment which was required and the future procedures involved.
Now after having had very successful surgery to both eyes I have no doubt that I was under the care of a genius..
I would highly recommend Mr Lascaratos to anyone that requires eye treatment or consultation.
Profile
Gerassimos Lascaratos is a consultant ophthalmic surgeon specialising in glaucoma and cataract surgery at King’s College Hospital, London. He prides himself in delivering the highest quality patient care and is committed to providing a personalised approach to eye care with a focus on patient experience and clinical outcomes. He is an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer in Ophthalmology at King’s College London and at the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology. He is also the lead for the ophthalmology urgent referral service at King’s College Hospital.
Mr Lascaratos completed the South Thames surgical training programme in ophthalmology in London, including subspecialty glaucoma fellowship training at Moorfields Eye Hospital, and has more than 12 years experience in Ophthalmology.
Mr Lascaratos has a passion for translational clinical research and is currently the Principal Investigator for a large prospective study between Moorfields and King’s College investigating the role of mitochondrial function as a novel biomarker for glaucoma. Based on his innovative PhD work in Glaucoma at University College London and his MSc work at Oxford University he has unique expertise in cellular bioenergetics in glaucoma and its relevance to the development of new glaucoma treatments.
He has served as a Member of the European Glaucoma Panel IV and Mentoring Programme and is a regular examiner for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.
