10 months have passed since I had my operation for cervical stenosis. Today I had my first examination having cancelled two previous appointments due to work commitments, I finally met with my surgeon George Spink whom I might add up to, during and after my procedure was more than reassuring. Calmly spoken, told me all I needed to know about what was going to happen during the procedure. More impressive was his immediate response to my condition once the MRI results came back. Within a few hours I was in the operating room being treated. There after my recovery was equally rapid, thanks to the amazing nursing team at Hull Royal infirmary, at all levels from the cleaning staff through to the nurses and Dr’s, a team effort evident throughout. Speaking with George Spink my surgeon today it was made perfectly clear had I not had such a rapid prognosis and treatment my condition would have meant paralysis from the neck down. Today I confirmed all was good and how mindful and grateful I am for the tremendous efforts of George’s intervention and that of his team. From start to finish nothing short of pure professionalism with a twist of humanity and understanding. Great job done by great people. My kind Regards Derek Molineaux-Stuart.
