I visited Mr Batra in July after having a problem with my knee. After looking at the x-rays he explained that I would need a knee replacement at some time in the future, but would be best to delay as long as possible. He explained that my weight was contributing to the problem, and advised me to reduce it. He set me a six month target to lose one and half stone but advised that I did not follow any fancy diet, just reduce my calorie intake to 1500 calories a day which I did and achieved that target, that has made a massive difference to both my knee and the way I feel in my self. On my return visit to see Mr Batra, he explained how losing the weight would help to delay knee replacement, also how it could possibly help the knee to recover a little itself and to possibly delay surgery even longer, and advised that I carried on doing exactly with my diet as I have been doing. I found Mr Batra, very friendly with a great manner, that made you feel at ease. He explained in detail the cause of the problem and also how I could help myself in simple layman’s terms. I would highly recommend Mr Batra.
