Following a meeting with my GP regarding pain in my foot I was sent for an x ray and a subsequent consultation with Mr Devarajan who diagnosed a problem with my big toe involving the first metatarsal joint. To remedy the problem Mr Devarajan explained that a procedure would be carried out where an incision would be made on the affected toe under a general anaesthetic, the toe would be straightened and fused using a small plate. My procedure was carried out at the SPIRE, Hull and East Riding Hospital as a day patient and Six weeks later I am back to normal with only a small tidy scar on my toe which is now straight. I cannot praise Mr Devarajan enough. My procedure was quick and pain free. Many thanks Mr Devarajan I am very grateful.
