From my first consultation i was listened too, taken seriously, and questioned quietly about my condition so the doctor could form a practical solution to help. Took 3 years to get to that stage, but that is not Mr Brittons fault. Once we agreed on the solution i was admitted, and the care i received was first class. I was in for a half knee replacement with the option of a full, if warranted. The theater team were excellent, put me at ease, and i thought their professionalism was top class. After the surgery again the aftercare was excellent. Mr Britton visited to ensure all was good, after a full knee replacement had been completed. He explained the way forward, came to see me again just before i was discharged in the morning, and it was made clear that he and the team were with me all the way during recovery. Physio program was robust and challenging as is necessary for the best results. All in all, as a nervous patient, first time in major surgery, my experience was excellent, with Mr Britton leading the team, and in my case providing an outstanding result.
