After not so successful TKR and consequent revision I was fortunate in getting a second opinion with Mr Edwards due to a suspect infection caused at the revision surgery. This infection caused the loss of any strength in the knee despite physio.
From the onset I was fully relaxed at the hands of Mr Edwards who diagnosed the infection, carried out a replacement TKR on the previous infected replaced knee and at all times kept me fully informed of procedures. I am now 4 months post op, the infection has cleared, and getting use of my knee back. The care I received from Mr Edwards, his team, the infectious disease team and all staff at Addenbrookes was outstanding.
