I had a parathyroidectomy carried out by Mr Ratliff a month ago. Prior to the operation I saw Mr Ratliff on two occasions and he explained everything to me very clearly and also listened to me and answered my questions in a friendly and helpful manner. His confidence and knowledge was most reassuring and knowing what would happen and how I would be after the operation helped me not to worry. The drain in my neck was a bit uncomfortable but I knew in advance it would be there. Although it is not long since the op I am already feeling much more energetic and only now do I realise how unwell I was feeling prior to the operation. I am so grateful to have been referred to him. The scar is healing well and has not caused me any problems.
