I experienced growing pain and reduction in movement to my right shoulder (I later learned this to be a 'Frozen' shoulder) in Feb / Mar-23, to the point where, when it 'caught' during throwing / chopping wood type activities the pain, at its worse, made me drop to a knee, loose my breath and the odd tear would well up. Pain that causes you to see a "white flash" in front of your eyes. It was really bad and meant I became less and less able to sleep properly / run to any sort of form... I attended 6 sessions of physio which initially helped to reduce the number of 'catching' episodes but the deterioration of the shoulder continued to get worse over a period of around 5 months. After roughly 8 months since the initial discomfort of putting on a shirt to not being able to lift my right hand out the water when paddling out on a surfboard and punctuated with incredible pain episodes I got a referral to Mr Makki in or around Sep. Mr Makki listened to my experiences and was very professional and clear in describing what he thought was going on and proposed a number of different approaches which we discussed and quickly decided upon the most appropriate course of action given my circumstances. Within a month of that appointment we had; completed a scan of the shoulder, confirmed the prognosis and undertaken the initial remedial activity. I am happy to say within only a couple of days and while performing the follow up exercises enthusiastically my shoulder regained c.90% of the movement and the pain evaporated. The handling of my case by Mr Makki and all of the staff from start all the way to completion was immaculate, efficient, friendly and effective. I highly recommend him, his team and the supporting staff at the Spire Harpenden Hospital and thank all of them for their help in getting this sorted quickly and brilliantly.
