Mr Simillis was my consultant for a colorectal procedure at Addenbrookes hospital on July 26 2023. Although the removal of some cancer in the lower right colon involved various difficulties he performed an exceptional piece of surgery which saved me having a stoma bag. Post operation my bowel refused to function for a few days but under his personal care and guidance he and his team eventually coaxed it back into action and I am now at home and enjoying recovery with no consequent problems. Mr Simillis found time to visit me personally and carefully explain what was happening at every stage. I am deeply grateful and cannot praise this surgeon too highly for his expertise and empathetic bedside manner. Thank you Mr Simillis.
