I had numerous appointments with Mr Aldrich throughout my pregnancy with twins due to restricted growth for one twin. He was always very thorough and explained things clearly. I always felt comfortable and confident in his decisions. Mr Aldrich was able to be direct whilst remaining sensitive to the situation (I did see a different Consultant on one occasion and he left me feeling rather upset and made me feel stupid, so I was very relieved when my other appointments remained with Mr Aldrich). Mr Aldrich even came to see me on the ward following the birth as a follow-up as one twin had Down Syndrome, he clearly did not have to do this and I think this shows what a good Consultant he is.
